                        Should congress pass the clear water restoration act?

            I think that congress should pass a clear water restoration act. Because in my home town of Bainbridge island I live next to a wetland and I have seen what people do to, how they treat it year round.  They treat it with no respect and I think that people need to change their habits and make the right decision. We need to have our wetlands, and we need to have our forests. Most people don’t realize how important it is to recycle. And how much of an impact that it makes to just do that simple thing. Most people look at wetlands and sees nothing, they just see that one patch of land as a breeding ground for bacteria and bugs. They also see it as a swamp and nothing important lives there. I strongly disagree I see so many small ecosystems that are so important. And the only place in the whole world that they live is in the “swamp” or the wetlands that other people see as useless and just a place to throw there teash.i think that the clear water act needs to pass because we need to clean up and stop trashing the ecosystems in the wetlands.

After going to see the fall one acts I thought that it was pretty good and most defiantly entertaining. Gonzalez wrote three of the four plays that lasted about a total of an hour and they all where great. The first was a play that had to deal with cavemen that were adopted and put into normal society. The next play was about a girl that had multiple personalities and there was, if I remember at least eight different ones. And each personality came out with a different word or phrase, one of the words that were used a lot was “blue china.” This play was the shortest, but I thought that it had the best acting. The third play started with john Gonzalez coming out dressed as a huge sperm. And he had a monologue about all the different names and how it was a constant fight to be “the one.” And last was a play that used the whole stage and the most props. This was about a mad scientist that was going to make a teleported. And two of the actors were in the teleported when a bird hits it on and makes them all two different mutants. But all in all I thought that all the plays where good and I had a good time.

After reading, “What’s Writing Got To Do with Campus Terrorism?” by Chris M. Anson. I thought that the reading was different, like nothing that I have ever seen before. This writing was almost like two people that where writing to each other about the subject and those they where having a full and deep conversation about it. And the conversation is very weird and how they are talking about how serial killers sometimes leave a note or a letter talking g about what they are going to do next. Or how they are talking about how when people are going to commit suicide they are suppose to leave a note? I think that this is all a scary thing and I don’t want to have to think about this and I think that the people that have conversations like this. I mean don’t they have anything better to do than talk about how people are murdering other people and that they are using there dead bodies as a letter to the cops telling what they did or who they are going after next. I just think that I would have better things to do than talk to my friends about serial killers                                                I do find it funny that they are talking about how no matter what you put up in the internet people are going to read it. Also aren’t they people who are talking on the Internet? And didn’t you get this paper slash conversation off of the net? So you are just proving them right by having us as classes do this. And also we are printing this on the web so others can see it and make a point of this as well.

            Also I feel like “Nothing “ has everything to say and  that he is ranting, while on the other hand “Everything” has good points and he is almost keeping “Nothing” in line.  But I do have to admit that while being up at western at night I do feel safe with all of the green coats walking around and with all of the phones that you can call if you don’t feel safe.

As for working in the real world I have come to realize that I need to find a job that pays more than minimum wage, because the lifestyle that I want to live. And the people that work on minimum wage are people that don’t have the ability to make more in that job. So I thin that this is something that I can relate to. Because in this last summer I worked in a restaurant at all the different types of jobs that they hade to offer and with the better jobs came more pay. I liked being a cook not only because of the pay but the responsibilities that came with it. But when I was a dishwasher I didn’t like it at all because the job was no fun. And I didn’t have anyone to talk to.             

            I can understand why jobs have to pay minimum wages because they need that extra money to function, and in the restaurant business get extra money to buy better food. So yes I can see where this is going but I don’t think that people can live off minimum wage, it is so hard to do especially when you are a single mother or a single father.  And you have to raise two kids while on this money? That is impossible no one can do that. So I can understand where both sides are coming from but I do think that people should have the opportunity to make more money for themselves. So if more people become educated, and work harder then I think that people will not have a problem with people getting paid minimum wage.

             I think tat if people work hard then they should get paid more, because of the work that they do. So that means if they decide to slack off then they should not get paid as much. It only makes sense people who work hard should get paid more, and the people that get paid less work less. I think that it is the right thing to do. Also people who work harder have more of a possibility of going farther in life.  My father once told me that the farther you go in life the more friends you will have and you will become a better person because of it. To tell you the truth I didn’t think he was right but after letting it sink in and after a few years have gone by I think that it is true, because if I surround myself with successful people and people who want to do good in life. Then it will make me want to push myself to become a better person and I will want to become a better person.

            So I think that minimum wage is needed in business but I don’t think that people can live off of it. And when people start to realize that they want to make more they should work harder and surround themselves with people who want to do better also. And after working a whole summer on minimum wage I don’t think that it is possible to even live on that and make a profit from it.  I think that I have followed what my dad told me to do unconsciously that I would surround myself with people that want to succeed and people that want to make a name for themselves.

            Looking at this picture makes me miss home and all the fun times that I had this summer, I love my home it is a place that makes me feel special and I know that it is something that will always be there for me. This one picture sums up my life as a hole. It has everything that I love and everything that I miss. I miss my family because they are so dear to my heart. Also there is water, and boating. I love it all and I cant wait to go back and see this again. It is nice to look back at all the things that love and that you are a part of. And this is my life. I cant wait to see my family again and have the good times that I had this summer, and make more good times that I have while I am with them.

            Looking at all of these pictures I can find one thing that is common in all of these, and that is I. I am with all of these photos and I can relate to each and every one of them. I am glad that I am related to all of these things.

Seattle ferries

            Seattle is a place that I will always be drawn to, I live on Bainbridge Island and I take the ferries to Seattle every time I go. When I am at home and I want to go to Seattle I have to find what ferry that I need to go on and what one I need to take back. I think that this is such a pain, but now looking back at it I realize that I live it. The Seattle ferries are a part of me and it is something that I will always have with me.

Lacrosse is a sport that I can relate to, it is also something that I can play at any time in the day. This sport is my love and my passion, when I am mad I play to relieve my stress and when I am happy I play because I love the sport. Lacrosse is something that I will play for the rest of my life. I can’t think of something that I like more than lacrosse. This sport comes to me with such ease; I love lacrosse because it is a sport that is beautiful and elegant. When you get good players to play together and work as a team, the sport seems to evolve into something that to e in my mind can relate to as something that is almost like poetry. You can see what is going to happen and anticipate it but you can shape it and mold it into something that is completely different than what you thought it would be. If you get a player that is good in lacrosse and you just watch him pass that ball to his friends everything seems to be working as one and it just all flow and looks like art that is standing and moving in front of you, it is just a beautiful sight to see. When I get older I want to coach this sport and inspire kids to do the same, passing down this thing that I cant seem to explain. It is just something that draws you in and when you are in it time just seems to stand still you never want stop. I hope that the love that I have for this sport will never change and I will pass it down to further generations.
